I may have, possibly over scheduled our little clan this week. It's been RIDICULOUS. I guess I was just trying to fit in all the fun to the end of summer. I take each of the kids on a "date" where they get to buy a first day of school outfit and go to lunch with me. Conner went to the JCPenny outlet, and then we went to lunch at Sweet Tomatoes.
Spencer went to the Sprockets store (remember when Mervyn's had Sprockets? well, I guess some former Mervyn's employees bought it and they're doing the brand on their own now, I always loved how fun the clothes were, and cheap... and this store in the mall was no exception. I guess they're growing, there's a couple in CA and one in AZ -- but if you see one in a mall near you, check it out!), and the Rainforrest Cafe. Here he is eating his overpriced food. Man, that place SOUNDS exciting, but... not so much.
P did so great at swimming she got her very own Slurpee, which was larger then herself. Go P!
And here we are at swimming lessons. We taught Conner how to do an appropriate cannonball -- there he is on the right. Action shots aren't so easy on the ol' phone.
Spencer's gotten pretty good at jumping in too. Proud a' him!
Conner prefers the backstroke. "More relaxing" he says.
So, today the kids get to do whatever they want -- which pretty well means playing wii all day. One final official last day of summer before the grueling work begins. I hope they enjoy it. My fun day will be Monday. :)
Enjoy the weekend everyone!
